Rocko

Where are you from?: Here

sex: male

What is your zodiac sign?: Scorpio

What is your favorite food?: Meat.

If I weren’t white, I would like to be: Black, baby. Black as night.

What is your best feature?: My massive ego

What is your favorite movie?: Taxi Driver. Or Goodfellas.

What is the last cd you purchased?: Stereophonics' "J.E.E.P." which I was non-plussed by. Bought used cuz I heard "Las Vegas 2 Times" and dug it. Foreigners. Retarded lyrics. 2 good tunes out of 12 or whatever.

What was the first album you ever purchased?: Queen's "News of the World." I'm still down with that shit. Fuck you if you aren't.

What would you do if given 24 hours to live?: I'd kill all of my enemies.

What band do you wish would reunite?: None of 'em. When a band breaks up, it's usually time. Name one time a band got back together and put out a good album.

Who would you most like to be with (dead or alive)?: Laura Petry from Dick Van Dyke. The prototypical woman in my mind. Smarter than me,

What holiday do you like the most? The least?: Thanksgiving. No obligations,There's a parade, a dog show, then I just go to someone's house and eat all of their food, then the next day all hell breaks loose at every store in America. My least favorite is Valentine's Day because I think Hallmark invented it. I have no obligations on Thanksgiving, Valentine's Day is just one big obligation. Unless you're single and then it's just a drag.

What is your least favorite color in the 64-crayon pack?: Henry Rollins.

If you could meet any male musician who would it be (dead or alive)?: I could've met Greg Dulli. He walked right by me and there was hardly anyone around. I just let it go.

If you could meet any female musician who would it be (dead or alive)?: Women are more concerned with their toes than music.

Typical “sunday morning coffee” music for me is: In bed asleep. Or the Soul Stirrers.

Name a TV show you watched religiously when you were little?: He-Man

If you were a high school teacher, what subject would you like to teach?: Rock'n'Roll, bitch.

Where did you grow up and for how long have you lived in Louisville?: All of it.

Name a favorite book or story.: John Lydon's "Rotten: No blacks No Dogs No Irish" is a big one. Not much use for fiction.

What would your power be if you were a super-hero?: Mass destruction.

Underwear Preference: Briefs

What song do you wish you had written?: Somethin' Hot. Sometimes I convince myself I did.

What band would you like to be in (present or past bands included)?: Stereophonics. I can write way better lyrics and have a better voice than that douchebag. We would kick ass.

What was you first “real” concert/show?: The night of my High School graduation I skipped the whole shebang and instead saw my first live Rockabilly band on the Riverfront, then a little later on in the night's festivities I wrestled a woman onstage as Santo, in the mexican wrestling mask during the Southern Culture on the Skids set. I still have the mask but never bothered to get the diploma., Haven't looked back since.

Name one band you are embarrassed to have liked.: southern Culture on the Skids. Social Distortion.

What is your one guilty musical pleasure?: I don't feel guilty at all about liking Gary Glitter, Britney Spears, Beyonce, Tom Jones...sometimes I eat candy. Big deal.

About how many CD ’s do you own?: Probably 600+ in my lifetime, probably 350. Probably a couple hundred tapes, about 100 LPs, 200 45s. All rough estimates.

How many MP3's do you have (legal or not)?: I don't believe in that shit.

What magazines do you subscribe to (or buy on a regular basis)?: Playboy.

What hobbies do you have?: Mass consumption, collecting, enthusiasm.

What do you do for a living?: sell CDs, talk shit.

What is the last song you voluntarily listened to?: Sam Cooke's "Let the Good Times Roll." I needed to hear "I haven't felt this good since I don't know when and I may not feel this good again." Sam Cooke is my favorite American.

What was the last movie you saw?: That Thing You Do. It's such a perfect movie. One I could never get tired of. America blew it by not getting behind that one.

What was the last email you sent?: To my gal pal Mollie.

What was the last phone call you made?: To a friend in Chicago who needed some gentle nudging.

Where is you favorite place to eat?: At a table.

At what age did you discover alternative rock and roll? How did this discovery make you feel?: I was 12 when Nirvana broke big, I didn't give a fuck. It made it possible for a wierd kid like I was to be popular all through school, though. I found out about Link Wray and Gene Vincent a couple years later, that was a much bigger deal.

If you play an instrument, when did you begin playing? And what instrument is it?: I'm a front man. I don't even say singer because I'm not comfortable with the implications. I've had a flair for the dramatic all my life.

Were you self-taught or did you take lessons?: You can't be taught what I know.

Have you ever done the Macarena?: No.

What is your favorite local band?: No.

Do you own an iPod? If so, then what artists are on it? If not, what bands would be on it?: No.
